Five Really Scary Movies To Watch This Halloween

With Halloween here, it’s time for It Waits to pick their top five scary Halloween movies.

1. “Session 9″ is a real twist on a ghost story. It’s about an asbestos clean up crew working in an abandoned hospital. With minimal gore and effects, it still creates an atmosphere of danger while grounding the movie in a believable reality.
2.”The Thing” may be over 25 years old, but it still works. It’s about a group of scientists in the Antarctic who encounter a human impersonating alien shaped shifter.
3.”Let The Right One In” is not at all typical when it comes to scary movies. This one is a Swedish vampire movie. It builds the tension that arrives when an outcast boy befriends a young vampire girl who just moved into his apartment building.
4. “Drag Me To Hell” sounds scary enough and it delivers too. An old gypsy curses a loan officer and it has its moments of laughter and real scares too. The gypsy is scarier than a demon.
5. “Trick ‘r Treat” is about Halloween itself with four scary stories interwoven into one night. This one has it all. A celebration of the spooky holiday that includes zombies, serial killers, werewolves, and vampires. You can watch this movie every Halloween.

Why do people compare Jaws to the Exorcist when debating the scariest movie ever?

I’ve often heard this debated, and I honestly can’t figure out.
Who in their right mind would even consider Jaws to be scarier than The Exorcist?

While Jaws is a good movie, and it was pretty entertaining, I slept with the light on for two weeks after seeing The Exorcist (I know, I’m a wimp :D)

Which movie scared you more?

The exorcist.
Hands down. Jaws is entertaining and kept me away from the beach for the weekend, but the exorcist is by far a lot of frightening.
And I was only young when I saw it too, so this freaked me out even more.
Actually, I remember I woke up screaming after it and my little sister ran to get me and I asked her if she’d get me some watermelon and crawl into bed with me.
So we ate watermelon and talked about nonsense until about 6 am.
Scary stuff.

EDIT: Okay, this mix up is so confusing.
I was about to answer this, laughing at Alex for being scared in the exorcist, but I don’t think Alex has ever even seen Jaws …
AH I’m so confused!
